Sign Making Process: Similar to architectural design, the sign making process begins with you: your goals, your vision, your slogan, your logo, etc. We then combine this with local governing agency’s criteria to design your sign. Once approved, we obtain high quality redwood from a local supplier and laminate to the desired size by a local cabinet maker. The recessed areas of the sign are then sandblasted so the letters and/or images project. Staining and painting are the final steps and your sign is complete. For larger signs exposed to harsh conditions, the sign is wrapped with a metal band constructed by a local welder to protect its edges. As a former contractor and well connected member of the community, Neely Architecture can even help install the sign or refer you to someone who can.
